Editing Photosets

Photosets consist of a number of photos, uploaded via the Planet eStream interface and grouped together as a single entity.

This page contains information on editing Photosets. For help on viewing Photosets, please see the Viewing Photosets Help Page.

This help page refers to Categories, however on your system Categories have been renamed to Subjects.

From the Planet eStream Homepage, click Create and then click Photosets. This option is only present if you have the Can Edit Photosets permission.
Enter a Title and Description for the Photoset, and complete any additional details, as required.
Select a Publishing Policy.
Confirm if Private or Public.

Public content can potentially be viewed by anyone.

Private content can only be viewed by yourself and administrators.

The Private/Public option may be disabled, dependant on your user account permissions and on the Publishing Policy that you have selected.
If required, click Select Categories and specify the Categories to which the Photoset should be added. This option is only present if you have the Can Edit Categories permission.
You are taken to the Photoset Items tab.

Follow step 4. onwards in How to Add Items to a Photoset, below.

From the Planet eStream Homepage, search for the Photoset that you would like to edit by entering the title of the photoset (or associated metadata).
Click on the title of the Photoset to view the Photoset.
From within the View Page, click the Photoset Items tab.
Click the Add Items link. If the link is not present then you do not have permission to edit the Photoset.
Click Select Files and select the files to upload. The file can be either a zip file containing a number of images, a Microsoft PowerPoint document, or an individual image file. Most image file formats are supported.
Repeat the above process until all the required images have been added.
Click Upload.

Once the files have uploaded, you will be prompted if you would like to add more items. Click Cancel.
The items uploaded will be listed in the Photoset Items tab.
Click the pencil icon adjacent to any photo to edit the title and description of the photo.
Click the dustbin icon adjacent to any photo to remove the photo from the Photoset.
Drag and drop using the two vertical dotted lines to the left of any item to change its position within the Photoset.

From the Planet eStream Homepage, search for the Photoset that you would like to edit the details of.
Click on the title of the Photoset to view the Photoset.
From within the View Page, click Edit Details

Please note: Depending on the layout of the page, the option may be within More menu.

If the option is not available then you do not have permission to edit the details of the Photoset.
Amend the Title, or Description, and list selections, as required.
Change the Publishing Policy selection, if required.
Change the recording from Public to Private or vice-versa, if required.

Private content may only be viewed by the user who added it, or users whose schema membership permits them to view other users' private content within the selected Publishing Policy.

Public content can potentially be viewed by any user whose schema membership permits them to view content within the selected Publishing Policy.
Use the Change Owner list to take ownership of the recording, if appropriate. For more information on ownership, please see the Ownership Help Page.

From the Planet eStream Homepage, search for the Photoset for which you would like to set the thumbnail.
Click on the title of the Photoset to view the Photoset.
From within the View Page, click the Photoset Items tab.
Click the image logo adjacent to any item to set the item as the thumbnail for the Photoset.

From the Planet eStream Homepage, search for the Photoset that you would like to share.
Click on the title of the Photoset to view the Photoset.
From within the View Page, click Share within the Details tab.
